If we believe that the PCA MVP stats are a good reflection of performance the answer is yes

And the answer is not Glamorgan

I have added overall individual county batting points+bowling points+fielding points+ captaincy points+win points - which is exactly the way the PCA comes up with an individual players points. I have then divided by total number of games for the whole squad which I think is reasonable. OK captaincy points and win points are a bit misleading but these additions ...

To prevent being shot the Editor makes no comment on the why's and wherefore's - it's most probably down to awesome fielding. Then again, perhaps they've all been reading Shah's book on "Calling and Running - How to Do It".

This did indeed ring a bell, if you'll pardon the pun. The cricketer mentioned in the story was the former Gloucestershire and Nottinghamshire offspinner Bryan ...

ODI's started in 1971 and England have used 207 players. 14 of these players are Worcs players (not necessarily at Worcs when selected) so we've had 6.7% of the players. Based on 18 counties the average percentage would be 5.6% so we're very slightly up, but if someone could be bothered to recalculate allowing for Durham then I reckon we're slightly below par.

Without cheating : who are the 14 players ?

Quote:

Bearders' Answer: In first-class matches there have been 35 instances of bowlers taking four wickets with consecutive balls. Bob Crisp (Rhodesia, Western Province, Worcestershire and South Africa) is the only bowler to perform this feat twice. He is also the only Test cricketer to climb Mount Kilimanjaro twice.
