Never has a job gone from being so cool to so terrible in one fell swoop as the Marketing Manager [UK and Ireland] for Gillette.

I wonder if Robinho does commercials?

Yes- I am referring to what the Press are already referring to as Le Hand Of God..here Tony Cascarino says his piece and lets spectacularly rip.

I don't know who the headline writer was- but Trappatoni, Jack Charlton or even someone from Wilkinson Sword or Philishave must be favourites:

This as you know is not a board I venture to very often but how are people allowed to be so utterly biased against the refereeing.

I do not follow football but whenever a team loose, the manager is on radio 4 in the morning bemoaning how his team were robbed or the referee was unfit.

I read a very interesting article in the Telegraph magazine explaining about the refs. Apparently the one theat Fergusson was saying was unfit had run 12 kiometers by the end of the game, more than all but ...

The Yeltz are in serious trouble- and maybe yeltzfan has gone down the pub to take the pain away.

Although he could have played at centre-forward this week- so many players have left that they took the field with 10 players and no subs.

I didn't realise things are so bad- whilst the Premiership and Championship have never been so rich, from the League One down to your local pub team, money has never been tighter.

Good luck to the Yeltz boys- if only for yeltzfan's sake.

Not over-excited about the football though, although it was just a friendly and I wouldn't have expected the full blood and guts stuff today. Can't say many players impressed me and some were poor. Gerrard was one who didn't seem to want to be there. Rooney was superb though, watching him 'live' is completely different to the TV and he really is an amazing player. ...

As a Forest supporter I can't see the point of us getting promoted next season. The only benefit would be to go up, take the cash and spend nothing on players, therefore clearing debts. Unless we can also find a long lost Arab Uncle.

If you were a Celtic fan now, you might just want your inspirational English skipper of 10 years ago to get the job. Particularly if he had a track record of solid management behind him now...

Can't think whatever happened to that skipper now though.....name of Tony Mowbray.

As a blues fan i remember him, not the greatest skill wise. But for everything he at times lacked with his feet he made up for with passion and the willingness to run and hassle for 90 mins. A true pro and a proper player, english football needs moreplayers liek him!

Congratulations to the U21's for progressing to the Euro Championships in Sweden int he Summer. They made hard work of it, but I thought they were the better side at Villa Park. Very impressed with the centre back pairing off Taylor and Macienne who both looked strong and very composed throughout the game and especially after England went down to 10 men. Ramsey for Wales also looked good and with a bit of development could be a very good Premiership player.

A great game of youth football ...

Lawro reckons 1-2 at the Hawthorns

Quote:Aston Villa hold an unbeaten Premier League record over West Brom of two wins and four draws in six meetings. They have not come away from the Hawthorns without at least a point in 23 years.
