Maybe I should be twittering this stuff ! Yesterday my wife's car was hit by another coming out of a sideroad, looks like a write off. Hasn't had a prang in 15 years. So I spend the afternoon sorting her insurance etc. Then this morning on the way to work I'm giving way at the Tewks roundabout on the M5 junction and some prat drives straight into the back of me. My lovely Alfa Rom is looking a mess. Haven't had a scatch in 20 years. So here we both are waiting for our hire cars, totting ...

Have not seen this brought up anywhere else and I think it makes interesting reading. If this is what we are facing then you can see why Rhodes has not been chasing down all the things that seem to on so many peoples christmas wish list.

If the Harmmison number is correct then £150,000 a year is an awful lot of money in anyones book and I can well see why Rhodes is a)unable and b) reluctant to pay it.

I was in Worcsy today doing a spot of overtime at the office. I took a break mid-morning to go and buy a handbag (a HANDbag?), as you do. Neil Pinner, I believe, is the most senior academy player but doesn't appear to have captained in the representative sides and neither has Jack Manuel for Staffs whereas Matt Pardoe has occasionally captained the Worcs U13's and U15's. One of the great Villa centre forwards, one of the few British players to succeed in Europe and with more local connections, having played for Kidderminster and also lived in Halesowen while playing at the Villa.

Erm... I wonder if that Royksopp video director is a Japanese architect?

Brockhampton is a lovely Herfs. village, essentially comprising a church, pub and cricket ground. Indeed, Brockhampton play in the Birmingham League!

If you remember a few weeks if not months ago we discussed on here the subject of declaring so that the opposition can't take any more bonus points, like we did in winning the title a few years ago against Northants.

Now with Essex and Northants going for the title, and Essex declaring at 253/8 to stop Northants getting that extra point, does this breach the new rules in anyway?

I can't remember the wording of the new rules.
